OrthoNebraska recognizes the burdens COVID-19 may place on our team members, and we encourage you to continue to have conversations with your managers regarding your personal situation and any need for support or assistance. One area that we have been closely monitoring is the need for childcare within our teams. In addition to doing our best to accommodate flexible schedules, OrthoNebraska has reached out to several providers to explore options for our team members and their families. Below are two of these options:
Treefort Drip In Hourly Child Care
Located at 180th & Center, Treefort Drop In Hourly Child Care provides licensed, flexible drop in care at your convenience for children 3 months to 11 years old. The center is open weekdays, evenings, and weekends, and includes preschool programs, camps, activities, and before & after school drop off and pick up. OrthoNebraska has partnered with Treefort to offer the following discount to our team members and their families:

It is important to note that temperature checks will be taken at the door for all students and staff. The space is cleaned throughout the day, and parents must complete and sign a checklist upon arrival that screens for any potential exposure to COVID-19. The YMCA of Greater Omaha has developed a program to accommodate and support different school schedules. The YMCA Out of School Time Enrichment Program will provide a wide variety of daily activities that are age-appropriate, recreational, enriching, and fun. They also focus on education through STEM and reading. This includes supervised support of the student’s online school assignments.
Program location and structure details include:
Downtown YMCA and YMCA Early Learning Center at CHI Immanuel
- 9 am – 4 pm with before-care and aftercare available beginning at 7 am and ending at 5:30 pm.
- One group of 15 youth at each site, with room to add a second group of 15 at the Downtown YMCA with additional staff secured.
Charles E Lakin YMCA (Council Bluffs)
- 9 am – 4 pm with before care and aftercare available beginning at 7 am and ending at 5:30 pm.
- Two groups of 15 youth served in alignment with the Council Bluffs School District’s on-site and hybrid phases.
