Dr. Jace Heiden joined OrthoNebraska in 2023 following a comprehensive sports medicine fellowship at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he regularly cared for high level athletes in a wide spectrum of sports. He believes in personalized care based on each patient’s goals for return to sport or activity.

Dr. Matthew Dilisio joined OrthoNebraska in 2021 as a Harvard fellowship-trained shoulder and elbow surgeon. Prior to that, he practiced at Creighton University and CHI Health in Omaha since 2014. With OrthoNebraska since 2009, Dr. Buzzell subspecializes in shoulder problems. He has published research articles and co-authored book chapters on the surgical and non-operative treatment of rotator cuff disorders, shoulder instability, suprascapular neuropathy, and shoulder replacement. Throughout his training and career, he has provided medicine coverage for high school, college, and professional athletes.

Practicing in the Omaha area since 2014, Dr. Samuelson trained at OrthoCarolina, where he was a part of the team coverage for the Carolina Panthers (NFL). Dr. Samuelson has served as a team physician to many of Omaha’s athletic programs, including the Omaha Beef and area high schools. He is an official team physician of Omaha Athletics.
