Sewing for Seniors

The Omaha area’s health systems, long-term care facilities and public health departments are working together to prevent the spread of COVID-19. While hospitals have been largely successful, long-term care facilities are struggling to control the spread. The health care workers and the people they care for are our neighbors, friends and family. They need our help to protect those who are especially vulnerable to COVID-19.

We’re encouraging anyone with the time and talent to donate 2-ply, washable masks to the Sewing for Seniors project. The goal? 5,000 masks.

Even one mask can help more than one person with reuse, especially given OrthoNebraska’s UV Light disinfecting program.
