At our urgent care, we focus on orthopedic injuries and pain, the kind where waiting for an appointment seems unwise or unbearable. You’ll see a specialist in orthopedics right away, seven days a week, so you can get back to work or back on the field as soon as possible. Also, you won’t pay the higher co-pays that some insurance plans require for urgent care – we bill these as typical specialist visits.

What is Orthopaedic Urgent Care?

Orthopaedic Urgent Care is a service at several of our locations where you walk in without a referral or appointment and be seen immediately for any orthopaedic (bone, muscle or joint) issue. You’ll see a true specialist at your convenience, get some form of immediate pain relief, and relative to general urgent care, you’ll typically experience a shorter wait time and avoid being exposed to potential illness.

How Much Does it Cost?

Urgent Care is billed the same as a normal office visit. For most with commercial insurance, this means it is actually less expensive than general urgent care.

Isn’t It Less Efficient Because of An Extra Visit?

Usually not, because in most cases imaging in the form of X-rays or MRIs will be ordered to confirm a diagnosis and conservative treatment plan will be tried for at least a short period of time. If the problem worsens and/or needs surgical treatment, we would typically discuss that at a follow-up visit. That being said, if you already have imaging or are confident you need surgery, urgent care would not be recommended.
